NIKE FOOTBALL VAPOR TRAIL
Cristiano Ronaldo blazes down the pitch in his signature Mercurial Vapor boots, leaving a stadium full of chaos behind him. Directed by Mark Zibert. A collaboration between Wieden+Kennedy Portland and Tokyo. Role: Creative Lead and Copywriter.
Breaking Speed Barriers and Gravity
The Nike Vapor Trail shoot used two massive bluescreen sets housed in a warehouse in Madrid — one flat, one pitched at 20°, with all manner of industrial fans and scaffolding surrounding it. Practical debris (confetti, smoke, glass, stuntmen) was shot separately and composited with Ronaldo’s performance. The Mission extended the turf platform, added the earth cross-section, and handled the full tornado chaos in post.
